This position is based in our Phoenix Development Centre

  • To be responsible for the day to day organisation and effective running of the development centre.
  • To provide a warm, homely environment for the service users based on their individual needs and to encourage them to develop to the full. In particular, competence and independence.
  • To provide an environment where service users can integrate freely and safely.
  • To assist service users to achieve the ‘Five Accomplishments’ in all aspects of their daily lives.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Working as part of a team in order to provide personal care and support for individuals.
  • To provide opportunities for individuals to develop skills in a way that respects the person involved, which promotes independence and allows individuals concerned to realise their own potential.
  • Providing supervision and support for all members of staff, to ensure high standards of professional care and practice based in the individual needs of the service user.
  • Planning and implementing programmes of care and training for individual service users by working together with other professional colleagues (CHMT, and other Health and Local Authority staff) and to maintain close liaison with this colleague in this respect.
  • Working with other professional colleagues and the families of service users in order to facilitate good standards of professional practice, and to implement plans made in respect of each of them in this process.
  • Maintaining reports and records in respect of individual service users and their progress, and attending relevant meetings, care reviews, clinics etc., and make relevant referrals to other agencies should the need become apparent.

Qualifications: QCF Level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent and 3 years managerial experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £10.48 /hour
